The Kaiser still rules in Berlin when Otto Müller starts to produce labels for bottles under the name of “Etiketten Müller”. As early as the 1920s, the successful company progresses to become the most important manufacturer of labels and decorative articles.
 
A fire that destroys the roof of the company’s premises devastates large tracts of the administrative and production departments.
 
Etiketten Müller merges with the company Goetz.
 
The company survives the turmoil of World War II unscathed. After the partition of Germany the company’s headquarters at Alexanderplatz ends up in the Soviet occupation zone.
 
The company is taken into State ownership. The company is started up again in West Berlin.

The Fall of the Berlin Wall coincides with the official opening of a new headquarters south of Berlin. A production area of 6,300 sq. metres provides the best possible production conditions.

Investment in a digital workflow and in a computer-to-plate imagesetter for the pre-press-department.

Ellerhold AG acquires a majority interest in GOETZ + MüLLER. GOETZ + MüLLER is integrated into the Ellerhold Group.
